VfL Bochum Stuns Bayern Munich with Dramatic 3-2 Victory

In a stunning upset, VfL Bochum 1848 defeated FC Bayern München 3-2 on Sunday at the Vonovia Ruhrstadion, handing the German giants their third consecutive loss.

Bayern Munich, fresh off their Champions League elimination, looked to bounce back against the struggling hosts. However, it was Bochum who took control from the start.

Antwi-Adjei opened the scoring for Bochum in the 14th minute, stunning the Bayern defense. Just five minutes later, Philipp Hofmann doubled the lead for the hosts, leaving Bayern reeling.

Bayern managed to pull one back through an own goal by Danilo Soares, but Bochum responded with a goal from Osterhage in the 53rd minute.

Despite Bayern's attempts at a comeback, Bochum held on for the historic victory. The result sends Bayern eight points behind league leaders Borussia Dortmund and leaves the German champions in a precarious position.
