Barcelona's already lengthy injury list has been extended once again, with Sergi Roberto suffering a setback in training.
The versatile defender has been struggling with a thigh problem in recent weeks, and he was forced to sit out the last two training sessions ahead of Barcelona's Copa del Rey semi-final clash with Real Madrid on Thursday, 2nd March 2023.
It is not yet clear whether Roberto will be fit to face Real Madrid, but his absence would be a major blow to Barcelona. The 31-year-old has been one of Barcelona's most consistent performers this season, and he has played a key role in the team's recent resurgence under Xavi.
If Roberto is ruled out of the match, Xavi could be forced to field a makeshift defence against Real Madrid. Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen are both long-term absentees, while Jules Kounde is also a doubt for the game.
