BALTIMORE -- The Twins scratched outfielder Korey Lee from the lineup Wednesday against the Blue Jays due to right hamstring tightness.

Manager Rocco Baldelli said the injury occurred while Lee was running the bases Tuesday.

Baldelli reiterated Wednesday that the Twins are trying to be cautious with Lee, who has dealt with hamstring injuries in the past. Lee is day-to-day and the Twins hope to have him back in the lineup soon.

"We just want to be really careful with him," Baldelli said. "He had some hamstring issues in the past, so we don't want to push him too hard and risk something happening. We want to keep him healthy and in the lineup as much as possible."

In Lee's absence, Gilberto Celestino started in left field and batted seventh Wednesday.
