From Goose To Top Gun

Top Gun Star Anthony Edwards Talks About His Character "Goose"

From "Goose" to Top Gun

Anthony Edwards, who played Nick "Goose" Bradshaw in the 1986 film Top Gun, recently reflected on his time during the filming of the movie. In a recent interview with PeopleTV, Edwards talked about how his character got his iconic nickname.

The Origin of "Goose"

Edwards revealed that the nickname "Goose" actually came from his character's real name, Nick Bradshaw. The nickname was given to him by his fellow pilots in the movie because of his tendency to honk his nose like a goose when he was nervous or excited.

Edwards also shared his thoughts on what made Top Gun such a special film, saying, "It was a perfect storm of everything coming together at the right time. It was a great script, a great cast, and a great director. And it really captured the zeitgeist of the time."
